ScatterShot ("we", "us") makes a golf caddie app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We aim to collect only what the app needs to work.

Information we collect

• Account. When you sign in with Apple or with email/password, we receive your email address and display name to create and secure your account. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
• Golf data. Your clubs, shots, rounds, scores, and swing metrics that you log or capture, stored to sync across your devices (Google Firebase Firestore / Storage).
• Location. While you use on-course mode, GPS location and altitude are used to measure distance to the pin and adjust carry for air density. Location is used in real time and is not sold.
• Camera. Range capture uses the camera to detect the ball and record swing clips. Clips are stored on your device unless you choose to save them to your account.
• Microphone & speech. Optional hands-free voice logging uses the microphone and on-device speech recognition to capture shot details you speak.
• Motion. Phone and Apple Watch motion sensors are used to estimate swing metrics.
• Weather. We request current conditions for your location from Apple WeatherKit to adjust recommendations.

How we use it

• To provide caddie recommendations, scoring, swing analysis, and to sync your data across your devices.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To diagnose problems and improve the app.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Sharing

• Service providers. We use Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage) and Apple services (Sign in with Apple, WeatherKit) to operate the app. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies.
• Group rounds. If you play a group round, your name and scores for that round are visible to the other players in it.
• Legal. We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected] from your account email address.

Children

ScatterShot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
